The regasification capacity in Europe increased from 7,004bcf in 2017 to 7,766bcf in 2022 at an AAGR of 1.9%. South Hook (UK), Isle of Grain (UK) and Barcelona (Spain) are the major active regasification terminals in the region.
Spain leads among countries in Europe with a regasification capacity of 2,125bcf in 2022, contributing about 27.4% of the region’s total capacity. Barcelona, Cartagena, and Huelva are the major active regasification terminals in the country.
The UK ranks second with a total regasification capacity of 1,702bcf in 2022. It holds 21.9% of Europe’s total regasification capacity. South Hook, Isle of Grain, and Dragon are the major active regasification terminals in the country.
France stands in the third position among countries with a regasification capacity of 1,209bcf, contributing about 15.6% of Europe’s total regasification capacity in 2022. Dunkirk, Montoir de Bretagne, Fos Cavaou, and Fos Tonkin are the four active regasification terminals in the country.
