Contract award activity in Africa during November 2022

Looking at contracts by country, Egypt led the activity in November 2022 with four contracts representing a 16% share of all the oil and gas contracts, followed by Angola and Nigeria with three contracts and a 12% share each. It saw an increase of 300% over the previous month’s total of one contract and an increase of 33% when compared with the last 12 month-average three contracts in Egypt.

Africa’s oil and gas contracts by segment in November 2022

Looking at oil and gas contracts by segment in Africa, upstream segment contributed the most in terms of the contracts awarded, with 19 contracts in November 2022, followed by midstream and petrochemicals with four and two contracts, respectively.

Contracts by scope of work in Africa during November 2022

During November 2022, the majority of the contracts awarded were in the operations & maintenance space with 18 contracts, followed by design & engineering and procurement with nine and five contracts, respectively.
